Recipe: Golden Milk Oats

You’ve probably heard about the health benefits of turmeric and maybe you’ve even tried Golden Milk at your favorite coffee shop. It’s the perfect warming beverage for any time you need a pick me up. Spices like turmeric ginger and cinnamon support digestion and balanced blood sugar while calming and soothing the body and mind. Enjoy Golden Milk with holiday cookies or at bedtime for a sound night’s sleep.

Golden Milk Powder

This mix is nice to have on hand or to give as a gift.

• ¼ cup cardamom

• ¼ cup cinnamon

• ¼ cup ground ginger

• ¼ cup turmeric

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Pour into a jar with an air tight lid for use in tea or to add to your favorite recipes.

When you’re ready to use, warm 1 cup non-dairy milk and whisk in 1 teaspoon golden milk powder.

Add a sweetener, like maple syrup and 1 teaspoon coconut oil, if desired. You can also add black pepper to this mix or to your cup as it increases the bio availability and absorption of the turmeric.
